Twenty percent of our education occurs outside of our school. Learning to navigate our world is an attribute we cultivate and owning the experience is crucial. Once a week, our students venture off campus to the nearby natural and cultural experiences in the Bay Area. As the children grow older, they are required (and encouraged and supported) to raise their own funds for their class trips. More than that, traveling together grounds us in the knowledge that we are part of something much bigger, which sets the course for our students to understand and care for people, place and planet in their lifetimes.
